The name ´Hidden Roots´ was inspired by the beautiful connection between parent trees and their seedlings. Through a fungal network the mother tree seeks out their seedlings to share extra nutrients and resources. This deep connection that ensures the survival of their kin, shares not only nutrients but also the mothers wisdom, supplies resources, sounds alarms and fosters deep connections and alliances. 

 

 The maternal instinct and actions of all mothers is so integral to our childrens survival, it is pure and beautiful and even when you cannot physically see it, it is still there.

 

I wanted to create Hidden Roots Yoga to nurture this instinct, to allow women the space and tools to connect with their babies during pregnancy and postpartum. To learn to trust their bodies and to trust that crucial instinctual knowledge we as mothers hold about our babies. 

 

I believe to give our children the best start in life we must first lookafter the mother. When the mother feels supported and nourished, be that physically, emotionally or spiritually, it allows her to be the mother she is capable of being. My classes allow each woman the time and space to honour their bodies through pregnancy and postpartum, to be able to quiet any self doubt they might have and to be able to listen to our inner knowing.
